The best work comes from starting with a deep appreciation of what it means to be human—all of the beauty and mess and complexity—and the compassion, experience, and insight that comes with it.

Be hungry,be brave
It’s easy to stick to the well-trodden path, but that’s not where the really tasty stuff lies: reframe the problem, ask stupid questions, feel ok with not having all the answers, and look for inspiration everywhere (you’ll always find it).

BALANCE AS A MOTIVATOR
Have a think on it
Sometimes you need to work hard and sometimes you need to work smart. Robust data is key, but gut feel matters too. Have strong opinions; hold them lightly. Know when to keep pushing, and when to let go.

Stay weird
NON-CONFORMITY AS A SUPERPOWER
Your you-ness is what makes you so remarkable: your interesting experiences, your fresh perspectives, your powerful gut instinct – all worth trusting, and all worth cultivating so that we don’t all become a murky plasticine grey ball of mediocrity.
